PENNIES FROM HEAVEN….

PENNIES FROM HEAVEN….!!
I don’t quite know how to explain the blessed feelings I have felt since our ‘Sebby’s Space’ Fundraising campaign began.
But I am going to try to a little bit…in the best way I can….

As many of you know, I lost a very, very dear friend, Graham Richards (‘Robbie’ to many), last October 2018

It was Graham’s beautiful heart that first began the ‘Sebby’s Space’ pennies flowing in when he requested, upon his last wishes, that donations go to ‘Sebby’s Space’.
Graham and his wonderful partner Richard Frost, a gorgeous friend of mine and Sebby’s, have no end of phenomenal friends who have donated and supported ‘Sebby’s Space’ so much.
I know in my heart of hearts that Graham has been, and continues to be, pulling a few strings from ‘Up There’…
The following story makes me feel he’s united with another Special Soul. A man named Michael…

For reasons of discretion, I shall not mention full names, but those involved know who they are. I want them to know how unbelievably …(there I go again…I can’t type any words that do this justice..I stalled on the keyboard as I quite simply can’t put into words how vitally and inwardly blown away I am by this…)
HERE WE GO….

A local man left a Will to his family that ensured they all were taken care of and that the rest was to be kept in Trust in order to help and benefit any child that may need financial support or help. Over the years one of his sons has been adding to this Fund.
The Trust Funds had been lying dormant for some time but then recently, a daughter and niece, stepped in to begin to action the Late Michael’s wishes…
Cut to the Sue Austin Tea Party back in June. Michael’s daughter ‘popped along’ – she had heard about me and Sebby via a mutual friend, but it was a last minute decision to come and my goodness, what an ABSOLUTE Life Changer that decision became for us.

I had given a brief speech about ‘Sebby’s Space’ – why we’re doing what we’re doing and a background story as to how Sebby came to have Cerebral Palsy.
This open and beautiful hearted lady listened to this that afternoon. I was later to discover, that what moved her, was the fact that what happened to us was a one in one thousand chance. This image took her to her own family circle and to picture how this could easily have happened to any one of her family members… This is what compelled her to want to help. After contacting her cousin and then other family Trustee members, they all agreed that this was something they wanted to support. An email to me followed ..

Dear Ann,

Last month I came to the tea that Sue Austin organised at Cocking. I was really impressed with all you are doing to ensure that Sebby gets everything he needs to be as independent as he can be.

Your story really touched me so I took it to our family trust and I’m delighted to tell you that the trustees would like to donate £30,000 towards the cost of your extension. Our hope is that this will boost your funds sufficiently for you to rest assured that the build will be able to go ahead.
I have since met this amazing lady, her cousin and a beautiful little member too! We sat and chomped on scones and laughed, cried and shared our stories. I felt like I’d known them forever – that’s the beauty of their souls. (And of course not forgetting Michael and Graham ‘Up There’ working their magic!)
WOW to it All!

Sebby and I offer not words, as they can’t do justice to this level of generosity, but our hearts are singing. THANK YOU XXXX
