Sue’s Magical Tea Party….

I still cannot quite believe what happened on the 19th June ….It literally was a whirlwind of magic….

I picked Sebby up from school and zoomed on to our wonderful Sue’s ‘Tea for Sebby’s Space’ event. We had absolutely no idea how many people were coming etc…On arrival I saw the carpark was almost full (although Sue, being her thoughtful self, had luckily reserved a car space for us – phew).

We entered Cocking Village Hall and my jaw hit the floor, the room was absolutely crammed full of people. We estimated nigh on 85 people attended that afternoon…It was astonishing!

I did my best not to cry, but it was overwhelming and the amount of love (and cake) in the room was palpable….

The event ran so smoothly. Sebby lapped up the love and attention and enjoyed the fun of the raffle!  There were fantastic prizes that had been so generously donated my many of Sue’s friends. Including one of the finest handmade quilts I’ve ever seen (thank you Irene x). There were many faces I’d never seen, some I’d not seen for many years and some I knew well. Thank you to ALL you lovely folk who took time to join us and for digging so deep into your pockets and purses.

The event raised an INCREDIBLE £2,080!!

Sue tells me she ‘did nothing’…That is far from the truth! The room was decorated to perfection, the organisation and love that went into it all was phenomenal. Sue and her lovely friend Frances are divine souls and Sebby and I are very blessed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Sue xx
